This summer I have the incredible opportunity to go on a summer project with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) to Ocean City, NJ. Ocean City was Cru's very first summer project. While I am there I will be surrounded in an amazing community of over 100 other students coming to Ocean City with the same purpose which is to grow and be stretched in their walks with God and to share who Jesus is with those that they form new relationships with whether that be at work or in the community. It will truly be a Christ centered summer. I will get to participate in discipleship, bible studies, a summer job, sharing on the boardwalk, and so much more. I know God will do incredible things this summer, and I literally cannot wait to experience such an amazing summer. However, it won't be a vacation; in fact, it will be hard work, but I am willing and excited to see God work this summer.
Today I took the first step in this journey which was sending out my support letters. I need to raise $4,000 in order to experience this amazing God filled summer. I am trusting God to raise up supporters that will help me make this opportunity a reality.
If you follow my blog, you will find not only updates on my life and my thoughts, but also updates on what God is doing in my life through Ocean City. This will be the best way for my supporters and everyone else to stay updated on what is going on in my life while I am in Ocean City and as I raise support. I am currently trusting God to raise up $1,000 by my first deadline which is April 1st. I am confident that He will provide in His perfect timing, and I am so blessed to have been given this incredible opportunity.
Stay tuned for updates on my journey through Ocean City! I am sure there will be many fun times to report as well as times where God is really moving in my life and in others. I can't wait to experience it and tell you all!
Psalm 9:10 "Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you."
Romans 15:13 "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
